Dr. Charles D. Gottlieb is the director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Abington Memorial Hospital. His undergraduate work was done at the University of Pennsylvania where he went through medical school and residency training. His Cardiology fellowship took place at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and his Electrophysiology fellowship was at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology.

His areas of interest/expertise are in the following areas:

Pharmacological Arrhythmia Management:

  • Atrial arrhythmias
  • Supraventricular arrhythmias
  • Ventricular tachycardia
  • Familial sudden death syndromes

 

Implantation/Management of Implantable Devices:

  • Pacemakers
  • Defibrillators
  • Loop recorders
  • Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (for congestive heart failure)
