Melanie Baldwin, M.D.

General Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology

Dr. Baldwin is a board certified noninvasive cardiologist.  She earned her BS in Chemistry from George Washington University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She attended medical school at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and remained at Mount Sinai Hospital for her internal medicine residency. She completed her cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She served as a Clinical Instructor for one year at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She practiced as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology for Mount Sinai Services at Queen Hospital Center for seven years before joining AMS Cardiology in July 2020. 
 
Dr. Baldwin is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.  Her special interests lay in echocardiography, including stress echo and transesophageal echocardiography.
 
Dr. Baldwin previously practiced under her maiden name, Wijetunga.
