Aswin Mathew, MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He completed his training at Hahnemann University Hospital / Drexel University College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow.

After completing his training, Mathew became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. He then changed to Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine, where he served as the Director of the Jeanes Campus Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

Dr. Mathew's specific interests include:

  • Management of coronary artery disease
  • Peripheral arterial disease, specifically complex revascularization for the management of critical limb ischemia and limb salvage
  • Peripheral venous disease and revascularization
  • Percutaneous structural heart procedures, including ASD and PFO closures
  • Left atrial appendage closure in the setting of atrial fibrillation and elevated bleeding risk
