Telemedicine or telehealth allows a patient and doctor to communicate face-to-face in two separate locations. This method of meeting with your health professional has many advantages including as of late, helping stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Through the use of video calls, photos, emails and text messages, our telemedicine services at AMS Cardiology are here to provide better access to care at a time when our in-office visits are not possible. In the wake of this outbreak, using the Healow App can help your doctors provide care remotely.

To get you set up, you first need to be “web enabled”.  Simply call our office and one of our staff will perform this task for you.  You will then get a welcome email from us with a username and temporary password. To access your health records or perform a televisit, you’ll connect through our patient portal. Use the credentials that we emailed to you to log in and set a password that is more to your liking. There, you will be prompted to login to your account and encouraged to download the Healow App through your appropriate app store. In order to access these functions, you’ll need a smartphone or computer with a webcam. For more information on how to connect, see below.

With the Healow App, your AMS provider is still available to you. Using this secure app, we can continue to help you manage your heart health, from the comfort of your own home. Stay connected and receive interactive health alerts and messages from your doctor as well as important updates about our office through the patient portal. Here you can find your medical records, lab results, medications, and a host of other tools and resources to help you.
