Cardiovascular Disease Specialist with a secondary specialty in Electrophysiology
Dr. McCaffrey joined AMS Cardiology in October of 2021 as a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist with a secondary specialty in Electrophysiology.
Dr. McCaffrey received his medical doctorate degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2013. Prior, he had received a BS in Physics and Mathematics at James Madison University in Virginia. A Residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Following his Residency Dr. McCaffrey completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and then went onto complete a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, running and watching the Phillies and Sixers. In a past life (before having two small children), he enjoyed golfing and on one occasion tied with Dr. Fireman.
