Emanuel J. Kostacos, M.D., FACC is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist who has been practicing since 2004. He graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College in 1994 and earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1998. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and his cardiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kostacos is trained in most aspects of non-invasive cardiology, including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, and transesophageal echocardiography. He has a special interest in valvular heart disease. Currently, he serves as Director of the Echocardiography Lab and Co-Medical Director of the Structural Heart Program at Abington Jefferson Hospital. He is also actively involved in training Abington Jefferson cardiology fellows in the performance and interpretation of non-invasive imaging.
