Dr. Matthew M. Collins is a noninvasive cardiologist who is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a native Philadelphian and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University (1993 - BS - Biology), Temple University (1996 – master's in biology), and attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2000 with honors. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Chief Internal Medicine Resident. Dr. Collins is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. He joined AMS Cardiology in July 2023 after practicing in Bucks County, PA for 11 years. He is an associate clinical professor of medicine at PCOM and instructs medical students regularly. Dr. Collins’ interests include all aspects of cardiovascular disease, with a special interest in valvular heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias. His interests outside of medicine include photography (Collins Photography Portfolio Link), scuba diving, guitar, Philadelphia sports teams, camping/backpacking, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family.
