Dr. Scott E. Shapiro, a non-invasive clinical cardiologist, is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. He has been recognized as a leader in health care and an advocate for patients and physicians by his peers, when he was elected as the 166th President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He is the youngest physician to have ever been elected to the position. His other leadership positions have included serving as Chair of Pennsylvania’s Delegation to the American Medical Association, Board Member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Member of the Montgomery County Board of Health, and President of the Montgomery County Medical Society.
He received his Doctor of Medicine at Temple University in 2000 and went on to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for his internship and residency. His cardiovascular fellowship was completed at Lankenau Hospital in 2006.
Dr. Shapiro has been a recipient of the United States Congressional Award of Special Recognition for outstanding leadership in the field of medicine. He is a former recipient of the American Medical Association "Excellence in Medicine Leadership Award." He has been recognized with a Smart CEO Circle of Excellence Award as one of the top leaders in the Biohealth & Health Care fields. He sees patients at the Horsham and Montgomeryville offices.
