Dr. Richard A. Goldstein is a board-certified cardiologist. He graduated from St. Joseph’s University and received his MD degree from Penn State-Hershey Medical Center. He did his internal medicine residency at Duke University and his Cardiology training at Washington University-St. Louis. He was on the faculty of the University of Texas Medical School in Houston for 12 years where he was the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and the Cardiology fellowship program. As an academic physician, he was recognized in “Best Doctors in America” for cardiac imaging and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and chaired sessions at national meetings including the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. He currently serves as a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Quality Assurance Committee and was the co-chairman of the writing committee for the American Society of Cardiology Myocardial SPECT perfusion imaging guidelines. He previously served on the editorial board of the American College of Cardiology and has been an internationally invited lecturer on nuclear cardiology and heart failure.
